This app should be portable - like those in portableapps.com
Can You work with those guys? http://www.fjsoft.at/en/home.php
They have basically whats needed - only calendar part is kind of - behind.Adding Notes to CalenGo and improving Tasks from those guys - mix can be superb.

I'd like a desktop version of CalenGoo because I think my calendar contains data private and personal and so I prefer to keep them only on my desktop, while the cloud and google can be used for shared data.

I'd also like to see a desktop version and bee able to sync with it and my tablet without using Google ever! that's why e have Wi-Fi. I don't trust Google with my data so please bear yes in mind whilst people madly rush to store their whole life on the cloud.

As i remember, the only usable offline app for Windows with integrated Google Calendar is EmClient. I have payed for it approx. 30 Dollars. Usable but not perfect. Still has some bugs (recurring events is the main culprit among all possible solutions - also in Lightning for Thunderbird). I could imagine that the Windows desktop version in price about 30 Dollars/Euros would be totally perfect solution worldwide... And I am ready to spred this mind ;-)

Yay! Calengoo works perfectly on BlueStacks App Player (beta, for Windows). Now I just bypass the Google Calendar altogether, particularly b/c it won't let me ADD EVENTS when offline .... ?! Thanks, bluestacks & calengoo folks!!

Agree with this - so that Android CG can sync w desktop CG. And yes, we would pay for it gladly.

I'd like this for Linux. Or an online version like Google Calendar. Yes, I know we can just use Google Calendar, but I really hate the layout and look of it. I just can't stand using it. I sync with it on my devices, but I try not to have to access it on the computer.

I support the idea. It's the best calendar app ever. Would love to see it on my Windows desktop.

I couldn't agree more. I just moved over to an android system from Nokia and it pains me to have to put everything in google calendar. All I had to do on my Nokia was open PC Suite and my calendar was right there for inputting, and automatically synced over Bluetooth. I've been searching and searching for another option. And i don't really care to have all my info regarding my appointments floating around on the internet.
Please, please, PLEASE do this!! If you do, I'll make you the best oreo cheesecake you've ever had!

The whole point of a calengoo desktop version is the flexibility that will be gained by having an actual application that talk to the gcal database and calengoo has proven to offer that flexibility already in the mobile versions. Everyone who uses calengoo probably has moved to it because it does things in ways that make sense and in some cases makes the calendar actually effective for their needs over the bog standard app.
I trust that the desktop version will bring that much needed level of control, flexibility and responsiveness that we have come to embrace from D.G and Calengoo.
I cant wait. -

If you create a desktop version it will be great because there is another question that is a recurrent tasks developed to work in calengoo and unavailable by directly use in google.
-
@Michael Brewer: The Google Calendar website and Google Tasks cannot be used without an Internet connection (only read-only but you cannot make any changes). Additionally Google Calendar lacks certain features that CalenGoo has like floating events, templates, special kinds of calendar views and many customization options.
I am sure that all people who voted for this idea know the Google Calendar website and will have their reasons why they want a desktop version of CalenGoo instead (or in addition).

Why not just use the google calendar web interface? Seems perfectly useable to me. I'd prefer to see the CalenGoo app itself developed further than see resources put into developing something that has already been developed -- and will be continually improved -- by google.

Yes, please! I need desktop calendar and hate syncing and getting duplicate events. Cozi is flexible, but I like Calengoo so much more. Used to use Calendarscope and its pocket pc equivalent & really miss it. A desktop would make Calengoo perfect!

My sister got me using Cozi, you can use full website or mobile, but I like Calengoo so much better. A desktop for Windows that you could sync with your mobile would make this perfect. I used to use Calendarscope & its pocket pc equivalent years ago. I don't like Google calendar, I think it's unreliable. I hate trying to sync w/ multiple programs, I get too many duplicates. A desktop version would be just perfect!
