Make CalenGoo the default calendar, so that it is launched when other apps start the calendar action
I think CalenGoo now supports all these calendar actions so I will mark this idea as completed now.

Now also an action from "Enhanced Email" is supported which just opens a certain date in the calendar.
@Wilfred TR: Thank you for your suggestion! But I think the idea you should vote for is "create an event from an email". There someone already suggested a way to copy an email into an event.

This example is not exactly "make default", but I'm pretty sure that the vast, vast majority of us receive our "calender action items" in a form of an email. it would be nice to, as Gmail does, have a sent to calender, or from the calender, have a pull email to calender. Subject line to Title, contents (and incoming email address? ) to description. Gmail users, and Blackberry users (http://rexwireless.com/rexconnect_blackberry/index.html) unfamiliar with CalenGoo are begging for this feature. -Wilfred

Getting a CalenGoo force close when clicking an event in the Pure Calendar widget.
Note that it seems to work okay for events from my Google calendar, but not those from my work exchange a/c (the latter are perfectly viewable in CalenGoo directly - it's the clicking them in Pure Calendar that causes the FC).
Running CalenGoo v1.0.36 and whatever the latest version of Pure Calendar is.

Just switched to Android Agenda Widget. Works great. Thanks

@Eurosteve: CalWidget seems to explicitely start the default calendar app. So CalWidget has to add options to start other apps instead. You can try "Pure Calendar Widget" or "Android Agenda Widget" both should work with CalenGoo.

Hi - Just bought your application. I am using "CalWidget." When tapped, this widget opens the "default" calendar app - which is the Google calendar built into my Droid X. Any ideas how to make CalenGoo the default calendar?
Thanks! -
With version 1.0.34 support for ACTION_VIEW has been added so that other widgets can use CalenGoo to display and edit single events.

Awesome! Thanks for the speedy response! :-)

@Jeff Yes, the Pure Calendar developer already contacted me and I will add the necessary functions soon.

I asked the Pure Calendar developer if clicking on a calendar event within his widget could open the event in CalenGoo itself (as opposed to the default calendar) and he said "You need to ask CalenGoo to support ‘ACTION_VIEW’. It can’t be done without this."
Is that possible? -

One other app is Pure Calendar Widget. The very latest version added support to add events and even task relying on Calengoo, and that seems to work fine. But there is one instance where this "default calendar" thing seems to be there in some way. That is, if I configure Pure Calendar to ask me each time I press that + button if I want to add an event or a task. In this case I get 2 options: "Add an event with HTC Sense" (which seems to be my HTC Desire's default calendar) and "Add a Task with Calengoo". It would be nice if the 1st option I get there would be tied with Calengoo, but my impression is that in that case the phone just wants to stick to the default calendar, I couldn't find a way to change that.

I want this to work with Android Agenda Widget - i can add an event with Calengoo per what they have done... however I don't have the open to hope an event to view or edit. I have options for Business Calender Beta and the normal calender.

The "Send to" functionality has been implemented in the meantime. E.g. you can use "Share page" in the Android browser to send the link to CalenGoo and create a new events from it. I will now see if it is also possible to link it to the email app.

Hi, Calengoo, thanks for your replie .
In fact, from the "Note everything " app , you have these choices :
1° Sent to calendar
2° Sent to ... and there you have other choices : Gmail, facebook, and ... another 3rd party calendar app . (But be sure i will buy yours!) so that means you can act on this function . Then, when you choose the 3rd party calendar app, you hace the choice to insert in : Title, description or locatio field . This is really useful .For the "share with " function, yes, this is exactly what i'd like to have .
Many thanksMarc

Hi Marc,
I installed the "Note everything" app. As far as I can see the "Send to calendar" function is an internal view of the "Note everything" app and saves the new event directly into the Android calendar. So the Android calendar is not started, only its database is used. And when an event is created this way, it is also visible in CalenGoo afterward (when using CalenGoo's default configuration).
But it will probably be possible to add it to the "share with" list of the browser. This sends the current website/URL to another app, e.g. CalenGoo. The URL could be saved e.g. into the description and you could add a title and time. Is this what you would like to have?
Kind regards
Dominique

Hi . These 2 exemples are not really "make default", but it would be nice to :
1° Add calengoo to the "share with" action (ie from browser link)
2°Add calengoo to the "send to calendar" action from the "note everything" app .regards

I did not find any app or function that starts a "default calendar" that could be replaced. All the calendar widgets start configurable apps, most of them can also start CalenGoo. So if there are no examples which apps start the "default calendar" I have to close this request as it seem that there is no "default calendar" in Android?
-
As far as I know it is impossible to start CalenGoo if the user explicitely clicks on another app's icon, e.g. the "Calendar" app. It would probably be dangerous if the app's icons action could be replaced this way.
And apps like "PureCalendar Widget" can already start CalenGoo. There you can simply start any application when the widget is tapped.
But I will also check CalWidget.

Other apps might include other calendar widgets (eg, Calwidget) or even just the "calendar" program in the app drawer.
