release a lite or free trial version
No way do I pay $6.50 for an app that I can't try first. And the 15 minutes google gives you to refund an app is a joke.

I agree with this. Over a year ago, I too was hesitant, so I contacted the developer and he sent me the apk to test. After testing for a week or so I contacted the developer with a list of issues I had. It was incredible his response and the implementation of my suggestions. His customer service and excellent app, CalenGoo, not only encouraged me to pay for this app, but I even gave him more, a couple of times because of this. Keep up the great work!

Just a note: The Google Play refund period has been increased to two hours, so you can try each app for two hours now:

@MHilton: That's wrong, CalenGoo can fix the problem, it can download all your future and past events, even if they are more than a year in the past or the future. All you have to do is to sync it directly with Google Calendar:
Just uncheck "Settings", "Accounts", "Android" in CalenGoo and afterward use the "Add account" button to add your Google Calendar account. Please see here for details:

If you would like to get a trial version that lasts longer (e.g. 72 hours), just contact me under android@calengoo.com

Tried this to see if it would overcome the "more than one year away appointment fault" in the android Google calendar - it did not cure it, but I managed to find that out in less than 15 minutes so got a refund!

Yes, please! I do not understand why you don't let people try it. I'm going for Business Calendar now.

Agree 100%. Already own Pocket Informant and Business Calendar, so trial a must or I really am unlikely to buy "cold".

Chester, buy it. If after 30 days you don't like it, *I* will give you your money back. -Wilfred

@Calengoo: If there is a possibility of trying 24 hours and then get a refund, then put the option on the front page, or in the android marked notes. Publish it to people, instead of showing it on page 5.

Yes, I will try to release a trial version in the future. However I have experienced this when developing the beta version and the final version in parallel: It causes a lot of work to create two independent versions of the same app, because they should not use the same IDs/intents. But that's why many apps tell the user to deinstall the trial/beta version before installing the final version.

I've bought and love CalenGoo, but I think having a trial version would make people much more comfortable with the idea of paying for the product, especially since Google has the brain-dead 15 minute refund period.
>$5 is a relatively high price on the Android Market. Yes, there are apps that cost more, and I think CalenGoo is worth it, but people are hesitant to spend $5+ on an app that they think they may not like.
Frankly, there is no way you can experience all the functionality of CalenGoo in <24 hours. 3-7 days is probably more likely. Complicated apps like this one really need a longer trial period.
Thanks for the great product!

If you like you can buy the app from AndroidPIT then you have a 24 hour refund period:

But yes, a lite or trial version would be a good idea and will probably be released at some time in the future.
