Adding a snooze "5 min before meeting start"
Just curious on your thoughts of the 5 min snooze before a meeting... today was another good example... I kept ignoring the meeting reminder at 11am and it was not until about 11:12 I looked at the phone. Since I have set options for snooze for 1hr, 5min, 10min, 1day, etc none really fit since I did not check the phone at 11a when I was first alerted due to talking to a client. It would be nice like it does in Outlook and the HTC calendar app to have an option the "snooze 5min before meeting start" this way regards of how late a person looks at the phone for the reminder you always have a SAFE snooze 5min before.
Such reminders can be configured as options for the snooze list under “Settings > Reminders > Snooze function”. It has been added a while ago, I am sorry that I didn’t mark this idea as completed earlier!

I fully support this suggestion, plus all of Mo's additions.

I fully support the snooze "before" option and the custom reminder. In addtion the custom 1 reminder proposed by Mo could have an option to select x minutes "before start" or "in" x minutes.

I second this with a little addition. It would be great if one could define a custom reminder in the snooze popup, because the 4 presets never fit all appointments. Thunderbird Lightning for instance allows to set a custom reminder like this:
[number] [dropdown: minutes|hours|days]This, plus an option to enter a specific date and time for the next reminder, I'd find really helpful.
The snooze menu could look like this:
- preset 1 -
- preset 2 -
- preset 3 -
- preset 4 -
- custom 1 - with a form like this [number] [dropdown or wheel: minutes|hours|days]
- custom 2 - with a form like this [date picker] [time picker]And if it is somehow possible to avoid opening the calender when pressing the snooze button - please, please do it :-)
I find it pretty annoying the way it is now. I just want to snooze the reminder, no need to open the calendar or the entry itself. -
