Enhance notifications & alerts
Notifications and alerts could get some enhancements:
Cancel functionality to exit a notification without snoozing AND without closing it.
Actually, when exiting a notification without snoozing (via back button), the notification gets lost. I would like it to stay active in the notification area.more than one popup notification would be nice
Actually, only one popup notification is possible. Others get lost.
CalenGoo can now display reminders as status bar notifications or with a pop-up window. When displaying them as a pop-up window with “Display multiple reminders…” checked, it can display multiple reminders at once and closing the pop-up does not discard them. You can open the pop-up again from the status bar and the reminders will be displayed until you dismiss them with the “x” or the “Dismiss all” button.

@Austin Birch: You are probably using the function "Settings", "Display and Use", "General", "Display birthdays in notification bar. This function is intended to display the birthdays the whole day in the notification bar. They cannot be removed. If you would like to get a removable reminder just turn that function off and add a global reminder to your birthdays calendar instead: Open "Settings", "Visibility/Download" and tap the blue button at the end of the birthday calendar row. There you can set a reminder that is used for all events in this calendar. You can find further information here: http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageinstallation/pagebirthdays/pagebirthdays.html

For some reason, Birthday notifications never leave. I have to wait till the day after someone's birthday, force close calengoo, then restart the app before the notification goes away. I'd like to be be Able to dismiss it as an actual notification, rather than it being a persistent status.

Was wondering why no dates appear in the the calendar pop up window when trying to set a date for a new event?

I bought your program and I must say it is really great, but I have a problem with the LED light on my Galaxy Nexus 4.2.2 .
Setting any led color in "reminder", the color is always green on my Nexus.
This is very annoying for me and it is very strange that a program that has so many customizations should just stop with it! -

I would also like notifications to disappear when the related appointment is moved/deleted.
Actually, if you move an appointment with active notification, this notification has to be closed separately. That's somewhat annoying. -

Led color problem when pop up window is on.
If it is on, the color will not be respected. If I turn it off and reminders only appear in the notification bar, then the led will flash with the personalized color. Please fix this as Iwant to have the pop up and the desired color as well. Thanks! -

The improved popup window is great, thanks for the implementation!

The improved popup window is very nice and works well.
I would like the cancel functionality after opening a notification for snooze. Maybe just as additional entry below "close"? And as functions that is executed when pressing the system return button - actually it closes the notification and the snooze window.
Another thing would be a variable snooze time - actually we only have the fixed user-defined selections.

Full support, especially
- Open the next active notification when closing/snoozing/exiting
- cancel function to look into a notification without closing or snoozing itAdditional idea:
+ snooze for a variable, not predefined delay (+the ability to set/adjust this delay) -

Another good idea would be to be able to choose noty only the colors but the font size and type for the pop up window.

@Calengoo Thank you very much, the update does really fix the problem so I'm back with the pop up window, doing just fine! I feel honored that I could point out a bug and helped to fix it. I always think that I have a sense with software (it happens to me with all operative systems, not only Android but Windows) as I usually get a feeling of the problem and where it comes from, even when I know absolutely nothing about programming. Thank you for your kind work!

I would also like any enhancements for notifications so I would not have to use "Calendar snooze" in parallel.
Especially the option to leave the notification and keep the notification icon active would be great.
"allow the popup to appear over the lockscreen" should be an option so you can switch this behaviour off. -

I think it would be good to allow the popup to appear over the lockscreen. I often lock my phone, and if there's an alert when it's locked, I have to unlock the phone in order to read the alert. Better if the alert appeared over the lockscreen, and with the dismiss & snooze buttons still "active", i.e., responsive to user input.

@Leonel: Thank you for reporting the bug with the LED. Yes, to let the LED blink an invisible notification is created when the pop-up window is displayed. It seems to behave differently on different devices. However I think I have fixed it now, the notification will now automatically be removed when the pop-up window is closed and that seems to stop the blinking. It will be included in the next update, which will probably be released in a few days.

One Update (I'm making my homework as you can see): I found out that the problem about the led still blinking after dismissing an event has something to do with the notification bar.
When you choose to show the reminder in a pop up instead of the notification bar, there will be no notification on the notification bar, but if I go to the notification bar, let it show even empty and closing it again, the blinking stops. I suppose that may be there is an invisible notification in the bar? I'm guessing, but that solves the problem. -

I second this and add: the option to have a popup and the notification in the bar, both of them.
And another great idea is the INSIST option, but it would be really nice to be able to select the INSIST option for individual events. This would be really useful. I don't know if I should put this in a different thread.

And I don't know if someone has suffer this, but at least in Motorola Defy with Android Froyo, sometimes when you snooze and/or (I tested both) dismiss an event, the led will keep blinking.
Another nice idea would be to be able to choose the color of the led.

Yes, please! "Cancel" and "open next notification"!

Open the next active notification when closing/snoozing/exiting another would also be a helpful option so you don't have to go into the notification tray for every single calengoo notification.
This would be extremely helpful when having several active notifications.
