    Hi!

Thank you very much! If you would like to help adding a new translation, you can do this on

    http://www.getlocalization.com/calengooandroid/

After you have translated a certain amount of text or after you are finished, please contact me ( android@calengoo.com ) so that I can create a test version for you to allow you to check if the translation looks good and is correct. When you are satisfied with the translation, I can include it in an official release.

Do you mean that you would like to see national holidays on the home screen widgets? That's already possible, just add national holidays to your Google Calendar account:

    http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageinstallation/pageshared/pageshared.html

Or do you mean something else?

Hi! The current version 1.0.122 supports local attachments for events, i.e. a link to a local file can be saved into the event’s description. These attachments are displayed in the detail view and the edit view of the event. Additionally when sending then event as an email, the attachments can be attached to that email. Please see here for further details: http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageedit/styled/pageattachments.html
For future versions it is planned to support further file types and to be able to sync the attachments between devices e.g. by using Google Drive files and links.

@Flyswadder: Unfortunately it is currently impossible to access those attached files, please see here:

    https://groups.google.com/group/google-calendar-help-dataapi/browse_thread/thread/70805574e2f5cbb3

    http://code.google.com/p/googlebugs/issues/detail?id=343

So until Google has added the necessary functions, another way to attach files, maybe by using a link to a Dropbox URL, will be implemented.

Yes, that's planned. But you can already use different colors for your events, just create and use different categories/calendars for your events:

Thank you for this suggestion! You are right, the month 4x3 widget doesn't use the "number of rows" setting yet, sorry! However if you would like to have a month 4x3 widget with this feature immediately, you could install "GO Launcher EX" and use it to resize CalenGoo's month 4x4 widget to 4x3.

@Anonymous: Thank you for voting for this feature here! I sent you as response to your email a few minutes ago. This was my response:

    ------------------------------------------------------
    [...]
I am not sure if it is possible at all. It already works in the smaller, 4x3 month widget, so you could just use that widget if you like.

This small widget is displayed as an image and Calengoo can display everything in the way it wants it to be displayed. However the larger widgets cannot be displayed as images because the Android system doesn't allow such large images for widgets. So larger widgets have to be displayed as a lot of text fields and layout objects. However this also adds many restrictions to how the widget can be displayed. E.g. then Calengoo does not know how wide a day is and thus does not know how/where to continue the banner (i.e. at which part of the word). So currently I think it is impossible to display the [large 4x4] month widget with banners.
    [...]
    ------------------------------------------------------

But I will try to examine it again in the future and maybe Google will also add better widget functions to Android in the future that will allow to display the banners in the same way as in the app itself.

Thank you for these suggestions! :-)

    > -No need to show empty dates

That's already possible, just turn "Settings", "Widgets", "Agenda widget", "Show Empty Days" off.

-The date row should be narrower in height.

Just set "Header font" to a smaller font.

-Colors should be less depressing, why so much gray?

Please take a look at the screenshot here:

    http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageadvanced/pagewidgets/styled/pagelockscreen.html

Is that better? You can get this by settings "Settings", "Widgets", "Agenda widget", "Background" to "Transparent Rounded Border".

Can you please try these settings and tell me if they helped?

If you choose "Default" under "Settings", "Reminders", "Choose sound...", then CalenGoo uses the system's notification sound and it should also change when the system changes its notification sound. Did you try that?

What is the "HTC Soundschema"? With the next update it will be possible to use a different sound for each calendar. Is that what you mean?

I see, it is like a 2-week version of the month view, right? The month view will become vertically scrollable (week-vise) in the future, then I can also add an option to increase the height of a week so that only two weeks are visible on the screen. Thank you for your suggestion!

Additionally it should be possible to choose the silent/vibrate profile, so that one can e.g. choose between normal/vibrate/silent for each event.

In the new version 1.0.5 that has been released a few minutes ago, the icons are now displayed in the week and month view.
I will add switches to turn them on/off for the different views and to show only icons in the month view soon.

@LeFrench The icons are already displayed in all views including the list view. But you have to sync directly with Google, because the Android calendar does not sync the icon information. Please see here: http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageedit/pageicons/pageicons.html

@alesi: Yes, that's what planned in this idea. However there is already another way to get your Outlook categories on your phone: If you sync your Outlook with Google Calendar using GSyncIt ( http://www.daveswebsite.com/software/gsync/ ) you can sync every category to a different Google calendar/category and thus have them on your phone, too.

As far as I know this information is not transferred to the phone, so it might be technically impossible when using the built-in sync. But I will examine it if it is possible somehow.

Optionally it should be possible to also merge events that are just identical but are not an invitation (e.g. when an event is saved into multiple calendars).

You can already configure it under "Settings", "Display and Use", "Agenda view", "Header background". The pop-up just displays a small version of the agenda view. Is that sufficient or do you need an additional color setting just for the pop-up?
Additionally I found a small bug: The color behind the "+" button isn't changed, this will be fixed in version 1.0.57.

Today version 1.0.53 has been released which should display RTL languages correctly. Now they just have to be right aligned and it would be nice if someone could tell me if the time also should be placed on the right side like “Title 10:00”?

Admincalengoo (Softwaredeveloper, CalenGoo for Android) commented  ·

It seems that some devices display RTL languages like Hebrew correctly by themselves whereas others require the app to take care of it. I haven't found a way to automatically detect this yet, but you can now use the switch under "Settings", "Display and Use", "Maintenance", "Special display of right-to-left languages" for those devices that do not display it correctly by themselves.

Admincalengoo (Softwaredeveloper, CalenGoo for Android) commented  ·

I got several reports that version 1.0.53 made the situation worse. So now version 1.0.54 has been released which handles RTL languages like Hebrew in the same way as the versions before. I need more feedback in which places of the app Hebrew is displayed correctly and in which places not. Please also describe what is wrong (the alignment, the order of the characters, ...).

An error occurred while saving the comment
Admincalengoo (Softwaredeveloper, CalenGoo for Android) commented  ·

With version 1.0.53 RTL languages should be displayed better than now (they will still be left aligned, but at least the text will be displayed in the correct order and not reversed in the day, week, month and landscape day view).

With version 1.0.56 an additional style of the week widget has been added that shows the seven days as rows (i.e. one column instead of two columns).

There are at least two kinds of week widgets missing:
4x1: like a single row of the month view
2x2: like the agenda view but with fixed sizes for the seven days

An error occurred while saving the comment
Admincalengoo (Softwaredeveloper, CalenGoo for Android) commented  ·

The size is currently only 4x3 and not 4x4 because Android OS does not give the process that creates the widget enough memory to create a 4x4 image. And currently it is displayed as an image because this give the most possible flexibility how the content should look like. I will try to add a 4x4 week widget later.
