Create an agenda widget (4x2) that is scrollable
I currently use a widget that allows me to scroll through my appointments up to 2 months in advance.
9 votesI am not sure if the important thing of this idea was to add an agenda widget or to make it scrollable. So I will mark this one as “completed” now because version 0.8.9 contains two sizes of agenda widgets. I have created a new idea “make the agenda widgets scrollable”. Please vote for it if you want to have the agenda widget scrollable but please keep in mind that this won’t work with a default home screen, you will have to use something like Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher to be able to use such scrollable widgets.

voice
widget or desktop shortcut with voice recognition for fast input of new entry
4 votesWith version 1.0.80 this has been added now, there is a widget “CalenGoo Voice 1×1” that can be used to quickly enter a new event by speaking e.g. “Meeting with John tomorrow at 8pm”. (English only due to limitations of Google’s quick add feature)

Provide configuration options for the date format.
I.e. let the user choose between MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, DD.MM.YYYY and others.
3 votesThis has been implemented in version 0.8.9 that has been released a few minutes ago.

A year view has been added as an option with version 1.0.105. You can turn it on under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Year view”, “Enabled”. By double tapping a month the month view is opened.
Starting with version 1.0.111 it can now also display events. Just choose the calendars that you would like to see under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Year view”, “Choose calendars”. You can choose if only all-day events should be displayed or also timed event.

improve the date and time picker
Currently CalenGoo uses Android's default date and time picker. Perhaps a numberpad or a small month view would be more efficient.
20 votesA few minutes ago a new version has been released that adds a small month view as date picker. It seems to be quite useful. By tapping the month’s name in this new date picker you can open the old date picker which may be useful if you would like to jump to another year.
I will see what kind of time picker I can provide in the future. The HTC date wheels are no standard widgets, so I cannot use them and I have to look for something else.

Create an option in Calengoo's settings that let's you single-tap a day to bring it up.
Single tapping on an event or day would make it easier for people who make a lot of entries.
15 votesAn option “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Day View”, “Single tap instead of double tap to open/edit” has been added in the update that was released a few minutes ago. When this option is turned on, you can open and create events with a single tap instead of a double tap. However opening days from the week or month view with a single tap is not possible because this is used to select a day (not implemented for the week view yet but at least for the month view).

Create a widget that shows the monthly view.
This widget should show each day's events in their appropriate colors.
4 votesVersion 0.8.2 will contain a 4×3 widget. A larger widget caused some problems and this way you can use it in addition to the day widget. If you still need a larger widget, please tell me or create a new topic here.

make the scrolling smoother.
"Das Scrollen nach links oder rechts geht leider nicht so geschmeidig, wie bei der iPod-Version."
Das Scrollen geht sehr schnell, allerdings geht da etwas die übersichtlichkeit verloren. Bei der iPod-Version geht das bedeutend geschmeidiger. Oder auch bei 'Konkurrenzprodukten' wie z.B. Calender Pad Pro. Wäre schön, wenn das angepasst werden könnte.4 votesStarting from version 0.8.6 the scrolling will be smoothly animated.
Mit Version 0.8.6 wird das Scrollen animiert.

In day view, give the Title of the appt priority over time of the appt (for short appts, ie 30 min)
When multiple appointments get listed side-by-side (3 or 4 wide) and the appointments are short (ie 15 or 30 min) there is no room to display the title of the appointment; only the time gets displayed. The time can be figured out by the postion (look to the left). What is most important to see at a glance is the Title of the appointment, not the time.
I suggest shrinking the time down to just the start time (or removing all of the time) and then the title can be seen (at least some part of the title).
This is…
3 votesOk, if the time takes more than 2/3 of the bar and the title cannot be displayed in the lower part of the event box, the time is not displayed.

auto sync the direct Google accounts at regular intervals.
The built-in calendars are automatically synced by Android, but the additional, directly synced calendars need to be synced by CalenGoo. This is currently done using the "Sync" function in the menu. Add some options to specify how often CalenGoo should sync automatically in the background.
5 votesIn version 0.8.8 you can specify a time range (e.g. 8am to 10pm) and an interval (e.g. “every 60 minutes”, minimum is 5 minutes) for the automatic sync. Additionally it is possible to let the sync automatically be started when a Wi-Fi connection was established.

The new version that has been released a few minutes ago, contains a menu entry “Settings”, “Tasks” where you can configure your Google Tasks account. Afterwards run the sync. The tasks will be displayed in a new tab “Tasks” and tasks with a due date will be displayed in the different calendar views. Please report any bugs to android@calengoo.com
