  1. Currently CalenGoo uses Android's default date and time picker. Perhaps a numberpad or a small month view would be more efficient.

A few minutes ago a new version has been released that adds a small month view as date picker. It seems to be quite useful. By tapping the month’s name in this new date picker you can open the old date picker which may be useful if you would like to jump to another year.

I will see what kind of time picker I can provide in the future. The HTC date wheels are no standard widgets, so I cannot use them and I have to look for something else.

  2. The built-in calendars are automatically synced by Android, but the additional, directly synced calendars need to be synced by CalenGoo. This is currently done using the "Sync" function in the menu. Add some options to specify how often CalenGoo should sync automatically in the background.

In version 0.8.8 you can specify a time range (e.g. 8am to 10pm) and an interval (e.g. “every 60 minutes”, minimum is 5 minutes) for the automatic sync. Additionally it is possible to let the sync automatically be started when a Wi-Fi connection was established.

A year view has been added as an option with version 1.0.105. You can turn it on under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Year view”, “Enabled”. By double tapping a month the month view is opened.

Starting with version 1.0.111 it can now also display events. Just choose the calendars that you would like to see under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Year view”, “Choose calendars”. You can choose if only all-day events should be displayed or also timed event.

  5. Similar to "Event flair" in Google Calendar. The icons are already displayed (but only for directly synced calendars, not for calendars synced via Android), but they cannot be changed yet.

The new version that has been released a few minutes ago, contains a menu entry “Settings”, “Tasks” where you can configure your Google Tasks account. Afterwards run the sync. The tasks will be displayed in a new tab “Tasks” and tasks with a due date will be displayed in the different calendar views. Please report any bugs to android@calengoo.com
