Improve performance
The performance is terrible. Compare to Caledar Pad, for example. Either load less data, use lazy load, or whatever. I've noticed that changing views (from day to week, for example) takes a long time. Moving from week to week takes way less. I reckon all the data is loaded on the view change so that can be optimized to load only a few days/weeks. CPU usage seems high.
3 votesThe performance has been improved a lot with the latest versions. I will nevertheless always try to make it a little faster with each update, but I think it is now already a lot better.

Warning about created/changed events that inadvertently scheduling/reminding in the past
I have had it happen that I will accidentally schedule an even in the past because I selected the wrong date/month/year (yeah, I know, silly thing to do). Because of this, I do not get any reminders and miss the event.
Also, if I am scheduling an event for two days from now and accidentally select a two day (or more) reminder, I will not receive a reminder because its time will have already occurred.
Warning of this would prevent missed appointments. I really need this one...
3 votesI forgot to close this idea, it has already been implemented a while ago.

Completed tasks greyed out
It would be great if completed tasks were displayed greyed out in the task view or have them move to a completed tasks area. It gets annoying when you view your tasks tab and they all appear as if they are all overdue.
3 votesThis has been fixed a while ago so this idea will be closed now.

Vertical week view
Add a vertical week view (in portrait) and a corresponding 2x4 widget. This would be like the current week view but all days in one column rather than two.
3 votesYou can turn “Settings”, “Widgets”, “Week widget”, “Seven rows beneath each other” on to get this kind of week widget. However currently it works only for the 4×4 widget so you have to use a home screen manager that can scale that widget to 2×4.
To get that kind of view in the app, just turn “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Week view”, “Display in two columns” off. -

These “other calendars” are already all imported except Google Sports calendars because Google technically prevents the Google Sports calendars from being synced, please see here:

Do you mean “vibration”? That’s already implemented, just turn “Settings”, “Reminders”, “Vibrate” on.

Add event directly from month view
Long press on a day in the month view should bring up the new event display (as implemented in day and week view).
3 votesIn version, 1.0.43, you can turn this on under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Month view”, “Long press adds new event”. Version 1.0.43 has been released now.

variable number of weeks in month widget
Could you make the month widget display from the current week with a user specified number of weeks? e.g. 3 or 4? The five week default hides meetings on most of days.
3 votesIn version 1.0.43 there is an option “Settings”, “Widgets”, “Month widget”, “Number of rows/weeks” for this purpose. But it can only be set to 4, 5 or 6 (the default), because otherwise there wouldn’t be enough lines in each box to fill it, each box contains only up to 11 events/lines. Version 1.0.43 has been released now.

change color of titlebar for an event
I would like an option to change the color of the event titlebar so that it has the same color as the event (several googlecalenders). When I today have a short event I can't see to which calender it belongs as all events have a dark titlebar instead of the color of the calender.
3 votesThere is a new option now in version 1.0.45 under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “Day view”, “Darker titlebar” that you can turn off to get the title displayed in the same color as the rest of the event.

Choose color for the pop-up reminder box
I love the pop-up reminder box but the color is so drab. I would like an option to personalize the color of the pop-up box.
3 votesIn version 1.0.45 you can now configure this under “Settings”, “Reminders”, “Use custom color for pop-up window” and “Background Color”.

add missing ability to confirm appointments
still missing business-funktion to confirm appointments (like it's possible in android-stock-calendar - "your answer was..."
3 votesA button to choose the own answer has been added quite a while ago so I will mark this idea as completed now. Please see http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageedit/pageedit.html#respond for details.

When day view is accessed via another view, have the "Back" key go back to the previous view
The other views, when a date is touched, bring up the day view. It would be a nice choice to be able to change the behavior of the back key so that it can revert the view to the previous view, instead of dismissing the application and returning to home.
3 votesPlease set “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “General”, “Back button” to “Previous calendar view”, then it should work this way.

More options for recurring events
It would be useful if recurring events could be set up for intervals such as the following: quarterly; the first Monday in each month; the last Tuesday in each month; the last day of the month (already suggested); and more. In general, more options please!
3 votesHi! Most of them are already implemented:
“quarterly”: Just set the event to repeat “3”, “monthly”.
“the first Monday in each month, the last Tuesday in each month”: Already possible, please see here: http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageedit/pagerecurring/pagerecurring.html
“the last day of the month (already suggested)”: That’s the only option that is currently missing. Please see the link above.
> and more. In general, more options please!
Please check out the web page. So currently the only remaining option you are suggesting is to be able to create events for “the last day of the month”, right? Do you need that option? In this case please add it as a new idea, then I will close this one to avoid confusion. :-)

public holidays
It would be useful if information about public holidays in one's home country could be installed.

add an alarm to the reminders
It would be nice if an alarm could go off until u dismiss or snooze it. The reminder now is just a little Heep with a popular and I personally have MISSED appointments, latest one thiis morning. I live by a schedule and would like a better ALERT SYSTEM
3 votesThat’s already implemented: Just turn “Settings”, “Reminders”, “Show pop-up window” on if you would like to get a pop-up instead of a status bar reminder. Check “Sound” if you would like to get an audible alarm. You can also choose a sound that should be played. If it is not loud enough, please check the volume for notifications in the “Settings” app. Please see here how you can fix these problems:
Please contact me under android@calengoo.com if you still have problems.

Import Past Events from Google Calendar that are Older than 1 Month
When starting a new android device, then importing events from Google Calendar does not work. Because events older than about 1 month are not imported. I'm having this problem now. New events were imported but I'm missing critical event history that I need in my calendar.
This is a well known bug in the Google calendar system that no user has been able to solve reliably since at least August 2009.
More complete info can be found in this android blog ...
3 votesThat’s already possible with CalenGoo: Just sync CalenGoo directly with Google Calendar as explained here, then it will download all your past and future events:
http://android.calengoo.com/pagedoc/pageinstallation/pageaccounts/pageaccounts.html
You just have to uncheck “Settings”, “Accounts”, “Android” in CalenGoo and add your Google account using the “Add Account” button. Please tell me if you have any problems!

Choose which events are "completable"
Currently, if I choose "completable events" under Display and Use, General, then ALL my events are completable and have a checkbox. This is great for some events that I want to check off once they are completed. However, some of my events, such as birthdays or a milestone event I want to post on my calendar, do not need a checkbox.
It would be an awesome feature if we were given the option when we create an event to choose whether it will be a completable event or not.
Thanks for a great product (my most used app!).
3 votesIn the current version 1.0.168 it is now possible to mark only individual events as completable by turning “Settings > Display and Use > General > Completable events > All events are completable” off.
