floating events
to implement "floating events" that is events appearing on the current day until it is cancelled.
I will mark this idea as completed now, because it has already been implemented a while ago, seems to work good and there were no further suggestions regarding this idea in the comments.

Yes, floating events (also called "roll over" posts) is VITAL and the only thing I use in my calendar, because I seldom have to do things a specific time (just a specific day or as soon as possible) and when I anyhow have to do something a specific time, do I simply write that time in the event post!
I also second that it would be great if you can convert a float to a task, mainly because a float should be done today (or maybe tomorrow) so it's NOT a task, that usually not is connected to a date...

it would be great tohave floating events reschedule to a new date upon checking the checkbox just like a todo. It would be a todo with a time.

Yes, floating events (set for a chosen time of day, incl with option of alarm/reminder) were great on Palm and would be an awesome addition here.
Also, it would be great if there could be the possibility of turning tasks into floating events, or floating events into tasks.

I loved this on Palm. Wish it would become a standard feature in calendars.

I realize this is another way to get what I asked for below with having tasks with no due date show on calendar. Having floating events would be just as good, maybe better.

Add this to tasks too. So one can schedule a task due on a certain date, have no due date, or have the task floating.
