Agree to a point. I think the default Calendar already has some mechanism to fire reminders, and the calendars are the same? They are synced by the integrated calendar app, I suppose?
In that case, most of the time I'd also have no need for the features that would be missing. However, manipulating an event from another app's notification might be an issue. Worth trying, though.

Actually, I'm considering turning recurring tasks into Floating Events. Thanks for implementing that feature! It seems a viable alternative to recurring tasks, with support for end date.

Thanks for the answer. Recurring events are supported by calendar, that is clear.
I'm also using these awesome recurring tasks but it would be nice to have the end date or a number of remaining occurrences for them.
    Cheers

Taking the votes out as I already have this. I believe I customized colors at some point, meaning that it is relatively simple to customize the visual appearance.

I meant this to happen in month view(s) and widgets.

The days past could be a bit darker as a default setting.

In version 1.0.78 (which has been released a few minutes ago) a first, experimental version of a new time picker has been added as an option. You can turn it on under “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “General”, “Use improved time picker”. It offers three choices: “Plus/minus” (the standard time picker), “Numberpad” (a number pad) and “List” (there you just have to tap twice to choose a complete time). Because it is “experimental” it hasn’t been announced in the update description. Instead it is announced here to get some feedback if it is good this way or what should be changed. One thing that is missing are buttons +/-5 minutes which have been suggested here. But maybe the number pad or the list are better choices anyway, so that the +/- 5 minutes buttons are not necessary. Please try the new time picker and write a comment here if it is…

I installed Icecream Sandwich (4.0.3) ROM and, by default, the time picker there does not select the value (hour/minute) when the picker control receives the focus. Hence it is really annoying having to fiddle with selecting the whole value and then typing the desired one. So my vote goes for faster implementing this. :)

I may have suggested this earlier but let me repeat here - I like the wheel picker. Something like this

Previously I was a fan of incrementing by 15 minutes but the wheel picker makes it easy to be precise down to 1 minute and not lose functionality.

Don't have any votes left but I prefer rotary selectors. Something like a slot machine. This applies for time picker. Maybe date picker would work with the same principle.
But configurable period for minutes would be very handy. Not sure whether 1, 5, or 15-minute increments would work best so it would be nice if everyone could choose their own value in the settings.

I was just gonna ask to close this but it happened again.
Btw, yesterday I upgraded to Android 2.3.3 and everything works like a charm.

Funny thing I noticed is that the error appears from the Tasks view, when using Refresh option. Happens twice in a row. Then going to Month view. The tasks are not visible after the previous error. Running Sync does not result in the error message and tasks get synchronized just fine there.

    Hope that helps a bit.

Happened today during the first sync after the update (new version). However, restarting the service always seems to fix the problem so I take that as a workaround.

Haven't noticed this behaviour with 1.0.33 update.

I think you've already implemented more features than GTasks. :))
And the implementation of repeating tasks beats GTasks by far. Maybe you could split Tasks into a separate app and then integrate it with CalenGoo? ;D

I believe this has been added in the latest version of Pure Grid Calendar Widget.
I'm not using PGC as I still find CalenGoo's month widget much better, though.

I agree. An option like 'show undated tasks on today' would be very useful and I think is quite common.
