Include the Number of Years for Annual Events
For annually recurring events it would be nice to display the number of years displayed from the start or the recurrence. For example, John's Birthday (42) - where the start of the recurrence is in 1969. This could be controlled by an option.
...and, it would be even better if the option to display this information could be event specific. For example, you could set the displaying for Birthday events (for which the birth year is known), but exclude events where the start year is unknown or irrelevant (ie. New Years Day, Valentines Day, etc.).
Since version 1.0.48, you can turn “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “General”, “Display age of annual events” on to see the age of annual all-day events in parenthesis behind the title, e.g. “John (42)”.
In addition to this feature it is now possible to display the birthdays of your contacts by turning “Settings”, “Display and Use”, “General”, “Display birthdays of contacts” on.

And may I say, that it works fantastic! Very good job!

@Mads: I am sorry, due to a bug it currently computes the age based on the current date instead of the date your are currently viewing. This will be fixed with version 1.0.50 in a few days.

I cannot get it to work.
When I create a new entry started today, repeated every year, it shows the number (0). When I go 1 year forward (2012) it still says (0) in numbers. When I look at the old entrys, they are correct this year, but shows the same number ex. (2) if I go to 2010 or 2012. Does anyone has the same problem and what is the solution?

Works fine but a bit laborious to edit but it will be excellent for new users putting in their info. One can edit individual entries & convert to show birthdays, anniversaries etc. Great update for me & up to November from July already.

@Robert: Yes, I know, Google Calendar doesn't create yearly recurring events for the birthdays. But, as I mentioned below, CalenGoo will be able to display the birthdays directly from the phone's contacts soon.

doesnt work if you use google calender for birthdays.

Oh, that is a pity. Does this mean that we could use this option only if we add birthday events manually to CalenGoo? Or did I get this wrong? What would you guess when CalenGoo will be able to display birthday events from contacts automatically?
-
@Former_A5_Fan: Unfortunately the events from Google's "Birthdays and Anniversaries" calendar are no recurring events. They are simple all-day events for the current year. So CalenGoo cannot compute the age for these events yet. That will be added later, when CalenGoo can directly display the contacts' birthdays as events.

Sounds great! I have one question about this. The Google calendar "Birthdays and Anniversaries of your contacts" does not allow to show the age of the persons in the birthday event. I found no workaround for this by now, and of course I wouldn't want to add each birthday manually. Does this issue here mean that exactly this will be possible with V1.0.48? Does it apply to this Google birthday calendar or will the birthday feature be a CalenGoo option to set?
