  3. Remove the 'day, week, month' bar and put it in a side bar which can be made visible by a bezel swipe

    I would greatly encourage using a sidebar. This could be accessible through swipe or a hamburger icon.

    This is (besides some minors like a today button right up front) the only thing really keeping me from using calengoo. It is a massive workflow booster in aCalendar.

    You could invent two buttons for next/previous day in the day view (I would go from day to week in most cases instead of going to the next day)
    or
    invent a whole day on screen at once choice for the day view.

    Anyways, the swipe for switching between views would be great.
